A folder/file I use hasn't been moved to Egnyte yet, how do I access it?
The Egnyte Transition Timeline shows when each folder should be transitioning to Egnyte. You can access any folders that have not been moved yet on the S: Drive.
Do I need to be connected to VPN to access the new shared drive?
No, Egnyte works wherever you are as long as you have an internet connection
Can I access files offline (While not connected to the internet)?
Yes, but you need to configure which folders/files you want to set offline access for:
- Right click the file or folder you want to set offline access for
- Select sync for offline access
- Stay connected to the internet until the sync is complete

Will the new Egnyte drive be mapped to S:?
No, the new Egnyte Drive will be mapped to Z:
How do I share files with other users?
Sharing is simple.
- Right click on the file or folder that would would like to share
- Select Share from the context menu
- Choose one of the options based on your needs:

View link options: Will open a webpage to Z: Drive location on the web app with added settings to change you link options (much like OneDrive)

Copy link (default options): Will copy a link with the default sharing options

Copy direct link: Will copy a direct link to the file in the Egnyte Web app (Only for internal sharing)

Copy desktop link: Will copy a direct link to the file in the Egnyte Desktop app (like sharing the file path to the S: Drive)

Will Excel files with macros referencing other sheets break?
Yes, any personal Excel sheets that include macros to reference other sheets will need to be updated
- You can open the Visual Basic code and replace all instances of S: with Z:\Shared
- In the event that this does not work, we can leave the sheet on the S: Drive and grant temporary access to use that file until a solution is found.
Will any files be cleaned up during the transfer?
The transition to Egnyte does not include any sort of cleanup, files/folders will be transferred exactly how each department has them.
Each department has the ability to clean up or restructure their files/folders in the current S: Drive and that will remain in Egnyte.

The Egnyte Desktop App is not on my PC, how do I install it?
